Park Cities Psychiatry

Park Cities Psychiatry provides evaluations for, but not limited to A.D.H.D., Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety, Autism, Panic Disorder, Eating Disorders and O.C.D.  Both Dr. Lotan and Dr. McFarland are double boarded in Adult and Child Psychiatry and have completed residency training in both fields.  We specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of children and adolescents, however; we often continue to treat those patients or new patients into early adulthood. As psychiatrists we focus on treatment including medication and therapeutic interventions.  We may work alone or in collaboration with a therapist, a psychologist or an educational diagnostician.  An initial appointment lasts one and a half hours and typically includes meeting with both parents and the child separately.  Most patients return within one month if treatment with medication was initiated or altered. Follow up appointments are twenty five minutes or fifty five minutes in length and usually involve one parent and the patient.  For adults over 18 years of age, we do not require parental involvement but may request previous medical records, transcripts or testing.  Please bring prior testing results, teacher evaluations or prior treatment notes with you to the first appointment.  All scheduling is done through the front office staff.  If you have additional concerns or questions about our practice please call our office.
